AL Hub 3D

AL Hub 3D

AL Hub is a cross-platform VR multiplayer simulation where players can explore, learn, and connect inside one shared hub. From the hub, you can step through portals into many different simulation rooms — each offering a unique experience. Travel to other worlds like Earth, Mars, and the Moon, or join interactive classrooms on subjects such as human anatomy, celestial science, and marine biology. Designed to be both social and educational, AL Hub works like a virtual science hub or campus. Players from around the world can meet up, experience simulations together, and discover new knowledge in immersive 3D environments.

What I did

  • Built the player character controller and core mechanics using Photon Fusion 2 for smooth multiplayer gameplay.
  • Set up cross-platform voice chat so players can communicate in real time.
  • Optimized performance, improving VR frame rate from 25 FPS to 75 FPS, and reduced scene loading time by over 500%.
  • Created seamless portal transitions between rooms and worlds (Earth, Mars, Moon, and classrooms).
  • Improved multiplayer stability and reduced network lag for a better cross-platform experience.
  • Worked on user-friendly interactions in VR, making it easy to explore and learn in simulation rooms.
  • Applied profiling and debugging tools to fix performance bottlenecks and ensure a smooth VR experience.
  • Collaborated on scalable code architecture, making the project easier to expand with new simulation rooms.
